Now it's been decided that Comet will go to Earth to find him and set things right - but can she make the time between having so many fun adventures?
The march into summertime is approaching, and while Comet's host mom prepares her store for the new season, Keisuke is also training to be a lifeguard. But in the middle of practice, he trips and injures his leg. Comet was witness to the whole thing, and tries to help, but Keisuke stubbornly refuses treatment. So, Comet enchants his bike, bringing him right into the doctor's waiting room. But the injury is more serious than Keisuke assumed, and he can't really use his leg for a week. But he has to get ready for the beach to open for the summer, so that just won't do! Can Comet help him heal in time so his dream won't be ruined?

Meteo-san has the whole country believing that she and "Imashun" are dating, even setting up a concert at her house without his consent - and all because they "happened" to be on the same flight back from his recording session in Los Angeles. When Comet's host mother finds out about it, she begs Comet to get her a ticket, seeing as she knows Meteo. Of course, Meteo wouldn't ever do such a thing, and Rababou insists they go to Imashun directly and ask. When Comet refuses, he goes off on his own and gets kidnapped by Meteo's "agent number six." Meteo decides to try to keep Comet away from the concert using her beloved companion as blackmail, but it very well may blow up in her face, especially when Imashun and Comet meet once again.

Comet's parents (well, father) are worried about her, so a Star-Person is being sent to earth to check on her. Meanwhile, a love triangle seems to be developing between Comet, Keisuke and "HIM" (as Keisuke calls him, and even if Comet doesn't really realize what's happening). Comet also discovers that the local high school has a baton club, and decides to demonstrate her skills for them; they are of course impressed.

"Imashun" is as popular as ever, but now he's found himself very curious about Comet, and at the same time, Meteo is convinced that she is the object of the celebrity's crush. "Unfortunately" for her, she's actually earned the affections of a rather nerdy young man who basically follows her around, much to her disgust. Comet gets her own stalker too, but most pre-teens would probably give anything for her position.

In this episode, Shun Imagawa is a young, new artist who loves to make music but works himself into near exhaustion. Meanwhile, Comet's host family is trying to get tickets to his sold out concert, with no luck. Comet and the twins are tired from their trip to get the tickets, so Comet creates a special cloud they can nap on. But before they take off, a boy collapses on it, and he's so out of it they decide to leave him there. But it's Shun (they don't realize this), and if he doesn't wake up he won't make it to his own concert!
I guess the lesson today is not to work yourself to the bones, but don't spend your life napping? I don't know :P

In this episode, Comet and the twins witness a wedding, and Nene becomes obsessed with being a bride - so much so that she begs Comet to make her a wedding dress with star power. But when Comet tries, the outfit comes out more like a wrapped pillow, and the little girl is angry. What went wrong? Meanwhile, Meteo has cast a spell on a classmate from the twin's school, and now he thinks he's a spy for the Castanet Star Galaxy.
Comet learns that wedding dresses have no specialness and meaning if they're something you could wear everyday.

In this episode, Comet and her host family, along with Keisuke, go camping at a riverside, and Tsuyoshi comes across a river fairy. But when he hears his father say that river fairies shouldn't be taken from the river, he decides not to show anyone his catch. When they all get home, though, the secret is out, and the poor creature will need help fast if it wants to survive. But with Rababou too tired to help Comet get star power from the sky, and no checkpoint to get back to the river, things look bad. Her last chance may be to enlist the help of Meteo, but is she willing to listen?In this episode, Comet learns that every life is precious, no matter how small, and even someone like Meteo has some good in them.

In this episode, Comet's host mother is debating what to throw out in her shop, and Meteo walks in, determined to buy anything Comet likes (in order to own what she can't have, thus holding "victory" over her pink-haired rival somehow). With everything gone, now they have to think of what to fill the shelves with that will sell, and not just from luck. Rababou won't let Comet get away with not searching for the missing Prince this time, so they take to the beach. There they run into a man who mysteriously collects garbage that washes up to the shore (like driftwood and bottles). Comet's twinkle detector goes off just as the kind man leaves - could he be the prince?
This time around, Comet learns that "searching for the twinkle" doesn't have to be a chore - there are wonderful people out there for her to meet as a result. That gives her inspiration and determination, and she doesn't fight it as much. Meteo spends her time waiting for Comet to do the clue searching, while filling her house with various things she buys.

In this episode, Comet learns that cutting corners doesn't bring the most satisfaction. Meteo is annoyed by the rich couple she hexed into believing she was their child, what with their strange tastes and behaviors, but doesn't want to give up the life of luxury and find somewhere else to stay. After picking up the twins from school, Comet is asked to help in "kingdom-making," which in this instance means helping the father plant the fruit and vegetable garden in the backyard. After being told to close her eyes and listen to the sounds of living things in nature, and Keisuke swings by to pitch in, educating Comet on certain things a farmer must do, she comes up with a plan. In the middle of the night she sneaks out and sprinkles the field with star power, causing everything to grow - she figures the faster everything comes out, the happier everyone will be. But when she presents her home stay family with a few samples, the father says that they couldn't already be ready. Fruits and vegetables are best after time and labor - where's the fun in simply having it handed to you? When you break a sweat it makes everything more delicious. Comet feels humiliated and goes to fix the situation as a result. At the end, Comet decides that the best method to finding the missing prince is at a slow and steady pace. That way the end will be the best for all!

In this episode, Comet joins the twins on her first trip to the zoo. Just before the entrance, Comet and Rababou get into a fight about finding the prince (Comet reveals she doesn't care at all for the prince, she came to Earth to play and have fun!), which upsets her little friend. He decides to go off on his own to find the royal boy, and Comet agrees that they're both perfectly capable of doing things without the other around. Well, Rababou runs into trouble when a monkey mistakes him for her baby, and Comet leaves him behind. However, later she feels guilty and tries to check on him. When she only gets a cry for help "on the other end" (she made a star mark before they left the zoo) she decides to rush in for a rescue. We also learn that Tsuyoshi is popular among the girls, and the mom of Pani-kun (the weird little kid that thinks everything is mysterious) wonders why Comet is there when she should be in school. And she's never seen a zoo animal, either! How strange.

In this episode, Comet is off to a less smooth start. She oversleeps and forgets to get the twins to the school bus on time. Then they have to take a train, something she's not quite familiar with (Earth-wise, anyway). After a scolding from their teacher, Comet leaves to report in to the mother's seaside shop, which is nearby. Then she and Rababou spot the father on a boat, and decide to join in on the fishing. This is a life-changing event, as she also meets a boy with an attitude named Keisuke - he doesn't like Comet and tells her so, which annoys her. They even share an awkward moment when Comet loses her balance and falls on top of him, earning blushes on both sides. Life on Earth could potentially become more difficult, especially now that Meteo knows about him and assumes that he's the prince, seeing as he was around Comet when she found the pink-haired princess. But is Keisuke really as bad as his first impression implied? Is he the prince?
Also, Comet learns her lesson and decides to create a star tunnel - this means she leaves a special mark at a place she has visited, and can later make it to that place in record time without needing a car, train, whathaveyou.

In this episode, Meteo, the princess from the Castanet Star-World, has found out about Comet leaving to locate the prince (and supposedly win his heart). Furious that she will be beaten in this quest for marriage, Meteo immediately heads out to Earth. Comet has been taken in by the young twin's family (Nene and Tsuyoshi, as they are called), as a sort of "home stay," since she's certainly not from around there. In the course of 24 hours since then, Comet has also created a comfy room for herself in the house with star power, and treats the kids to an afternoon of sight-seeing (if by that you mean sailing through the skies on a tree), as a thanks for helping her. Only they, however, along with a weird little guy named Pani, know and believe in her witch magic.
When Meteo finds her in this simple, domestic situation, it's amusing. How is living in a home like that, doing things like laundry, fit for royalty? Meteo's angle is to let Comet do most of the work (she used a rather lazy approach to find even Comet) - she also uses star power of her own to brainwash a rich old couple into thinking she's their daughter. With that, now Meteo will be living in a mansion while the prince hunt continues. How will life on Earth differ for each of the girls? Who will "win"?
This show doesn't seem to be "monster of the week" fare - it's more like "twinkle" of the week. No villian out to conquer the universe, either. In this way, it's sorta like Hime-chan no Ribbon. Both Comet and Himeko use their given powers to better the lives of those around them.

On the evening of a ball meant to introduce Comet to the prince of Tamborine Star-World, he runs away, leaving a memory crystal behind. Of course, the strong-minded girl could care less - this just means the party is over and she can get out of that tight pink dress. But the Royal Council decides that it will be up to Comet to go find him, in order to ensure peace for the three Star-Worlds (Harmonica, Castanet, Tamborine) in the Triangle Nebula. If she captures his heart during the rescue, all the better for them.
The princess is less than enthused about searching for someone she doesn't even know until it's mentioned that she will be visiting Earth, the place her mother went to in her youth. She remembers hearing stories of adventure and romance, and so she can't get there fast enough! Her parents and advisor give her gifts - a special ball that lights up when a memory has been created in her heart, along with a necklace that can sense twinkles. The whereabouts of the prince, along with what he even looks like, aren't yet known - only that he can be identified by a twinkle in his eyes (how deliciously vague! You might as well say anyone with green eyes or freckles or something). An animal companion, here named Rababou, also goes along to help and keep her focused on the goal.
In this episode, Comet arrives on Earth, coming into contact with disaster almost immediately. After a rude awakening from a foreigner (yay stereotypes) and getting kicked out of her sleeping spot (she took a nap after landing on Earth, since it was still dark out) she is seperated from Rababou, and doesn't understand Earth customs (OK, Japanese customs) well enough to get around - that includes paying for food. At the end of her first day, she is greatly distressed and doesn't know what to do. Because it's raining, she can't even look at the stars to guide her. However, a young set of twins named Tsuyoshi and Nene, whom she met earlier, spot her sitting alone on a bench and approach the stranger with their mom. What will happen to poor, wet Comet?
Sorry, but I just didn't have the energy to write out the whole episode. Anyway, this is quite cute. The animation is colorful, crisp, and pretty, and I love "magical kingdom"-type shoujo, so this was right up my alley. Supposedly this is a sort-of anime version of a live action drama that aired in Japan in the 60s and 70s, featuring some of the original cast as voices for the new version. I have no idea of how to get ahold of this old stuff, sadly.
Additionally, the group that is fansubbing this has not released a new episode in about 2 years, about halfway through the series. So, I will probably take it slow with this, and maybe, JUST maybe, they'll have started again by the time I get to their ending point.
